In any app, press and hold the 🌐 globe key on your keyboard, then choose Cipher.
What “Allow Full Access” really does
iOS asks for it because that’s the only way a keyboard can reach the internet — and for Cipher, the only thing it’s used for is translating your text online. Here’s the honest version:
The keyboard types fully without Full Access — letters, numbers, emoji, autocorrect. You only need it for online translation.
When on, only the text you choose to translate is sent over an encrypted connection — no account, no name, nothing stored.
It’s automatically off in password, card-number, and other sensitive fields.
